As has become our routine, we again visited at Racecourse Beach Tourist Caravan Park at Bawley Point.
Since our first trip we had fallen in love with the resort and it now seems that no trip is complete without a few days overlooking the ocean and enjoying the wonderful hospitality! There is so much to take in: tennis, the birds, flowers, the birds, the beach, the birds, the wonderful and charming villas, the birds .. This resort offers caravan sites, completely furnished villas at beach front and lots of areas to explore. This is a family park and children love it. Children of ALL ages! That is Crazy Joe from Queensland and no one asked him to pose for this .. right Joe???
We traveled down the coastline to some smaller towns and found ourselves in postcard scenes. There is something about the water in Australia that puts a new meaning to the color blue.
Our travels took us on an escapade into the Snowy Mountains .. (Hope you have seen the movie, The Man From Snowy River). Somehow, I expected something different, greener in more areas, but I can't say that I was disappointed and after all, it was summer! We saw the statue and had lunch. We wandered the town and chatted with the locals. We drove into the ski areas and although everything was warm and deserted, it was obvious that the place must boom in the cooler months. There were many places for accommodations and lots of areas to ski.
