Traveling Tradeshow

We have added some new features to the Traveling Trade Show and hope that you find them helpful.

The first calendar of your state's association RV Park owner's convention. To those of you who are in the campground industry, do not belong and would like more information, you can find access to those resources at the trade show table Trade Associations .

We also have compiled a list of some of the very best links that we think will be beneficial to running any travel related business; mapping, online phone books, references to emergency medical situations, UPS tracking, and lots more. If you have found one that you think is helpful, please send it to us so we can share it with others.

The Cracker Barrels and seminars are on a roll but we need more feedback from those of you who are "seasoned" in a variety of topics. Those currently in progress are:

"Activity Ideas for your RV Park"
"Campground Hospitality"
"Family-run Campground"
or "How do they do that?"
"Virus or Hoax?"
"Vendors… This is for You"
"Phone Service at Sites"
"Looking for advice on building a new campground"

We have had requests for vendors in some specific areas are attempting to locate a resource…. be patient but if you know of one who you feel can assist our industry, please refer them to us. The Trade Show is for you….and we hope you will continue to find it useful.

Here is an idea to create some smiles and build your mail list.

Consider adding a coloring page and even a contest to your website. Stop and think about the benefits and what can be accomplished!

First and foremost, this is a great way to offer the grownups some peace since the youngsters will have an activity en route. When the family comes in, there will be no question as to how they know of your park. If you ask for name and e. mail, you can add it to your mailing list and if you run a contest, you can post the winner on your website…all entries will need to bookmark your site and check back for the winner!!!

We can create a Kid's page completely for you using your mascot or any idea you have. If you would like to see some examples, here are a few we have done!! If you want a page created, please contact us!!

The Communication of Hospitality

One of the most frequent blunders for new Internet users is the use of the "Caps Lock" key on their keyboard. It's not only a breech of Internet manners and is considered yelling but it is difficult to read lines of type that are in all capital letters.

People are taught to read using upper and lower case letters, so our eyes flow over the text. When the copy is in all caps that flow is restricted and therefore the message has less impact. If you are trying to make a strong point by using all capital letters your audience may not be getting or understanding your message.

Caps are telling the reader you're hopping mad and shouting at them, even worse, that you are ignoring basic Internet etiquette. Neither of these messages is what you want to send to a customer. So if you are really trying to communicate, avoid the caps-lock key and your message will be better understood.

It's all about hospitality and communication.
