Important note from your web host
If you have your e.mail address posted on any website or a link to your own website, it is your responsibility to check on the functionality regularly. This includes any site or link that you have with us.
From the position of your web host, there is no way for them or us to know that you are not getting your e. mail or click thrus unless you inform.
We have always asked you to periodically look at your site and use it as if you were the guest. Try the links to reference points; attractions, mapping, weather, etc. Send YOURSELF an e. mail or use any online submission form that you have. If it does not arrive to you, if is wise to let your provider know. If it is with us, it will be handled promptly but if you don’t tell is, we won’t know.
Unfortunately, things happen and without any rhyme or reason. There is no way for your provider to “Just know” that something is amiss. At the same time, if you make checking your site a regular practice, you will be aware of events that are out of date and rates that need to be updated. You need to be involved with your web presence just as you are aware when you are out of printed brochures or business cards.
Take time to check, please…and do it regularly. Let us know if there are problems and we will get them resolved.

Over the past few months, we have hosted a travel survey to see what people are saying about their current plans. This month, we want to share with you a selection of responses to our question,
"This year, why are your plans changing or why not?" (If you accept that this is any gauge in our travel market, it would appear that all is well in the US!)
- No change in plans (this was the most common response with 34%!)
- We have always believed in See America First. Retirement allows us to do extensive traveling.
- I have an extensive work schedule.
- We are taking more trips because my husband and I are both not working at the moment. We'll still do a lot of car camping trips to state parks, a two week camping trip to the SW, and a air trip to New England to see the fall colors.
- No matter, We always take 4 to 5 vacations a year.
- We like to take a lot of mini-vacations. Michigan has so many beautiful spots it is easy to do them on long weekends.
- We are not traveling to Europe or Asia this year. We will see more of the USA.
- They aren't. The school hasn't cancelled the trip to New York nor has Youth Camp. We will go too.
- We enjoy seeing the U.S.
- More time in RV, just bought a new RV. World situation has not changed our plans
- Do not plan any changes to upcoming vacation versus previous travels.
- Not changing really, but we\'re moving across country. Usually we travel by air until recently (post 9/11)
- My plans are not changing because enjoy traveling, and getting \"rest & relaxation\".
- They would only be changing due to personal scheduling conflicts and not due to the current political climate.
- We just take weekend trips. try to take off ever other weekend do it when we can... try for 3 day weekends when ever we can... longer if we can too...
- I am ridng to Key West; Milwaukee in August; Seattle in Sept; and back down to FL all on motorcycle.
- No set plans just go!
- The price of fuel
Small Town USA
Traveling through New England, a motorist stopped for gas in a tiny village. "What's this place called?" he asked the station attendant.
"All depends," the native drawled. "Do you mean by them that has to live in this dad-blamed, moth-eaten, dust-covered dump, or by them that's merely enjoying its quaint and picturesque rustic charms for a short spell?"
HOW TO STAY YOUNG .... and motivated!
- Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctor worry about them. That is why you pay him/her.
- Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.
- Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. " An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.
- Enjoy the simple things.
- Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.
- The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.
- Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.
- Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
- Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, to the next county, to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.
- Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.
